Nationwide Bank: Introduction

Nationwide, the full name of which is Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, appears to be an Ohio-based group of financial services and insurance companies. The group was founded back in the 1920s, when there was an obvious need to set up an insurance company particularly for drivers. This way, the Ohio Farm Bureau decided to set up an insurance company, which happened in 1926. At that time, the newly-launched company was known as the Farm Bureau Mutual Automobile Insurance Company.

In the period between 1928 and 1965, however, the company rapidly expanded. In a result, the company had had branches and offices in 32 American states by 1965. In 2017 Fortune 500 List, the company was ranked as high as #68. The number of employees who work for this company exceeds 32 thousand.

As of the present time, the key products of this corporation include banking, investments, and insurance. At the end of 2017, Nationwide got revenues equal to $46.5 billion.
